I am no stranger to the poison my own words have inflicted on those around me. I know all too well how uncontrollable my tongue can be—and it’s a struggle many of us face, trying to tame our words and actions. When anger is added to the mix, it becomes even more destructive, often leading to devastating consequences.
“A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back."
This reminds me that self-restraint is vital—not only in holding back harsh words but in resisting other impulses as well. For me, letting go of certain habits has been part of that journey.
